डब्ल्यूपीएल नीलामी 2023: 87 खिलाड़ी कुल ₹59.50 करोड़ में बिके

 

The WPL Auction took place in Mumbai on 13th April 2023, in which 87 players were sold for a sum of total ₹59.50 Cr.

During this auction, RCB included Indian explosive opener player Smriti Mandhana in their team by placing the highest bid of ₹3.40 Cr.



RCB has almost made up their mind to give the Team accountability to Smriti Mandhana. If sources has to be believed, she will become the Captain.
RCB has chosen a good Team along with the explosive batsman Smriti Mandhana. In the Team, good players like Devine, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghose, Heather Knight, Megan Schutt etc. have got their place reserved.

Present Indian Women's Cricket Team Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was bought by Mumbai Indians for ₹1.80 Cr. The biggest bid from team Mumbai Indians was ₹3.2 Cr for England explosive batsman Natalie Sciver, highest bid after Smriti Mandhana.



Delhi Capitals surprised everyone as they did not buy a single player in their team in the first round of the auction. They did their very first bid for India's youngest debutant and currently holding the title to win the India Under-19 World Cup Trophy for the first time, Shafali Verma for ₹2 Cr.
It would not be wrong to say that Delhi Capitals have included Shafali Verma in their team as Captain, as under the captaincy of Shafali Verma, Team has won the Under-19 World Cup.
Delhi Capitals made the biggest bid of ₹2.2 Cr for Jemimah Rodrigues. Apart from this, Delhi Capitals included Mrg  Lanning, Radha Yadav, Shikha Pandey ,Marizanne, Alice Capsey in their Team.

The UP Warriors team, which entered in the auction for the first time, included Deepti Sharma in their team for ₹2.6 Cr. She will become the Captain of UP Warriors.
Along with Deepti Sharma, UP included England's fantastic bowler Sophie Ecclestone for ₹1.8 Cr and Australian all-rounder Tahila McGrath for ₹1.4 Cr, Alyssa Healy for ₹70 lakhs and Devika Vaidya for ₹1.4 Cr.



Gujarat Giants bought Ashley Gardner for a whopping price of ₹3.2 Cr. Along with this, Australia's wicket-keeper and opener batsman Bet Munni was included in his team by for ₹ 2Cr, Sophia Dunkley for ₹ 60 lakhs, Harleen Deol for ₹ 40 lakhs and Sneh Rana for ₹75 lakhs.
